Here's the homework for the first week:
Work out your project:
Tell us about it give us the basic premise and location (try to keep it about 1-2 paragraphs long) and whether or not you are doing a redesign of classic movies or doing your own story. Tell us who the characters are (give a brief synopsis of each) and give us the era/time that your work takes place. Here's an example you can use as template. Try to be creative in the presentation portion.
REMEMBER TO INCLUDE PICTURES AND REFERENCES

Master Studies:
Do at least 1-2 pages studying your favorite artists.
Artist can be old or new, linework or paint just chose one you like!
You can work either traditionally or digitally.
Don't just copy what you see actually study it from the 2D shapes that form the drawing to the rhythms that lead the eye or the basic forms that structure a drawing.
NOTE: It doesn't have to be exact or look pretty, it's just to help you learn the shapes and form
Here's a few examples to help you on what you need to do.
Disney Studies:

Yoh Yoshinari Studies:
Painting Studies (Van Dyke, Sargent)
