See how thorough they are with keeping consistency in terms of shapes and detail and how they break it down

Some notes from a book (I forget what sadly):

Look at how they break down the drawings to basic shapes. They understand basic structure before laying down the costume.

Also, take not to look at how each little material and part of the drawing, down to muscle shapes, were thought out and designed. Think personality and think practicality!
